Technical program managers are responsible for a company’s technical projects of all types and stay involved for each stage of development, from idea to design to their completion. They develop new products and features to create new revenue sources and increase company profits.

What will you do?
  • Provide technical leadership, direction, and coordination across the Activity’s technical components.
  • As part of the senior leadership team, ensure effective coordination and collaboration across all program components.
  • Supervise technical teams and ensure achievement of core results including annual work plan and targets, and timely/effective implementation of activities to achieve program objectives.
  • Serve as part of the leadership team across stakeholders including USAID, Government of Indonesia, civil society organizations (CSOs), private sector, academic institutions, and other groups. Contribute to design and delivery of flexible programming that adheres to adaptive management principles.
  • Work with the COP to ensure program deliverables and reporting, such as annual and quarterly reports, meet high quality standards set by USAID and Abt Associates.
  • Ensure cross-cutting technical areas and priorities are effectively integrated into program implementation.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in public administration, political science, business administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 12 years of experience managing governance-related development activities, particularly at the subnational level.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesia’s climate change adaptation (CCA) landscape.
  • Demonstrated expertise in climate change adaptation, particularly in technical areas such as climate finance, governance as it relates to CCA, data-driven solutions for CCA, nature-based solutions, locally led adaptation, and/or disaster risk reduction.
  • Experience in senior management roles with USAID or other donors, preferably in Indonesia.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and engage with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa.
